about

Violence In The Snowy Fields documents the band gaining more confidence in the studio. Breaking out of the piano/drums/acoustic guitar template that anchored their debut, they try on various hats – Byrd’s inspired country rock on “The Search,” 70s AM pop on “Dying In Time,” and moody folk with “Put You To Sleep.” In spite of these differences in arrangement, the tunes manage to hold together well as a cohesive collection.
